Monday..

Today after the girls came home from school we hustled down to the public library so the girls could do some Christmas crafts. They made ornaments and cards. This was a free event and they had a ball.
After the library we hit the local Pizza Ranch. The girls love buffets and being able to choose what they wish. We ended the evening with Chloe performing in her chorus and band concert. She did awesome and I'm one proud mama!
All in all... What a great Monday!

Vacation 2011 Destination: St Louis, Missouri

The third week of August we took the kids to St Louis Missouri. We had such a great time. Our first stop was to famous Six Flags. I must say this was the most challenging stop. I had not been on any amusement park rides in ten years. This was the first time ever we have taken the girls to a park, and their first experience with rollercoasters. We enjoyed the log ride very much. Sean was such a brave man riding Excalibur with the girls. There was no way I was going to get on that monster. At the start of the first rollercoaster the girls were fearless. At the end, Tristen almost lost her lunch on my shoes. She did not give up, she tried several more coasters. I must say I was proud of her facing her fear.
The next day we went to Meramac Caverns. We are big cave lovers. This was a nice one too, even equipped with a ballroom.
That evening we went to the Arch. We rode it to the top. It was an awesome view of the city at night. Though the carts we rode in were freaky! They had a small history museum with quite a bit of exhibits.
The following morning we walked around town. We rode the Public Transportation to the Science Center. Lots of hands on activities for everyone. As a family we made DNA from Wheat Germ. The girls were both chosen to participate in a performance. We had such a great time that I do believe on our next vacation we will try to work in another science museum.
That evening we took the girls to their first big time ball game. Cardinals versus the Rockies, and the Cards won!
We did have a wonderful time together. I am thankful every year when we take these vacations, as it is totally carefree and 100% fun.

Wow.. It has been a long time...

I can't believe how long it has been since I've posted.

At the moment we are putting the finishing touches on Christmas shopping. The girls are really excited for the upcoming holiday season. This year they will be performing in the Christmas play for church. I can't wait too see my girlies in action!

We have been extremely busy since school started in the fall. Both girls are doing awesome in their studies and seem to like their new school. Chloe is in band and chorus. She is playing the clarinet this year. Tristen joined cheerleading and was able to cheer at the high school game. That was a blast! Chloe has been invited to join a book club sponsored by a retired educator. This class will be held over the internet, she can't wait to get started!
Us girls have also joined a crocheting class sponsored by the library. This is a challenging class and I'm so proud of my girls for taking this on. My personal goal is to crochet a blanket, however at the moment I'm working on a scarf for my Biscuit.
These are some pictures of the last few months. I must try to blog more frequently....

Family Fun Time @ The Park

Had a great time yesterday at the park. We used our hot dog roller machine that grandma gave us and cooked up some hot dogs. We let both dogs off the leash and they had a ball running around this beautiful country park. Now that the weather has cooled down I am looking forward to many more afternoons at this park. There are toys for every age, even though it seems the girls are always picking the highest toy available to climb. Even Sean played on the toys! Thanks to my wonderful family for a wonderful afternoon!

4th of July Celebration

Had a great time on the fourth. Spent time with friends and family. We went to a cookout with some friends from work. The girls loved the slip in slide, food, and fireworks. We had the best seats to the fireworks!
